Corescan Mobile Laboratory and Coretable Coming to PDAC 2016, 6th-9th March, Toronto, ON

29 Feb 2016

Corescan® is pleased to be exhibiting an extensive range of hyperspectral imaging and visualization technologies at this year’s PDAC. Through its partner SGS, one of Corescan’s latest hyperspectral imaging laboratories will be located directly at the Core Shack in the Investor’s Exchange.  The laboratory will be available for demonstrations throughout the show, while Corescan and SGS analysts, technicians and business representatives will be on-hand to answer questions, discuss scanning opportunities and to demonstrate our latest technologies including Coreshed® and Coretable™.

Please visit the Corescan booth (#309) in the Australia Pavilion to experience immersive, high-resolution core visualization from Coreshed, our virtual core repository, being accessed using our latest Coretable interface.  Experience core imagery at ultra-high resolution, integrated with comprehensive hyperspectral mineralogical maps and overlays, alongside geochemical logs, with examples covering a wide range of ore deposits.

Several presentations will be provided throughout the convention including:

SGS Technical Seminar - Sunday, 6th of March (3pm-5pm)

Dr. Brigette A. Martini, Corescan, will join colleagues from SGS in their technical seminar, “Developing Value through Integrated Minerals Services from Exploration to Water Management”. Dr. Martini will discuss new developments in hyperspectral analysis, services and collaborations from 3:35-4:00pm.

Please contact Chinta Costa at SGS directly to reserve your attendance (chinta.costa@sgs.com)

Giant porphyry Cu-Au deposits: Important global resources for the future - Monday, 7th of March (10am-10:25am), room 716

Dr. Brigette A. Martini, Dr. Ronell Carey, Corescan and Dr. Jeff Witter, Mira Geosciences, will present their technical paper, “Application of hyperspectral core imaging to the orebody knowledge of giant Cu-Au porphyry”.

Integration of Corescan hyperspectral core imaging data with the acQuire GIM Suite - Monday, 7th of March (2:00pm-2:30pm), booth 823

Dr. Brigette A. Martini, Corescan, shows the connectivity between Corescan’s Coreshed and the acQuire GIM Suite. Corescan automated hyperspectral core imaging data is used to produce both textural/image-based and point mineralogical data that easily streams into and integrates with additional geological datasets within the GIM Suite.
